Many consumers wonder "How is the real estate market these days?" The news media is filled with foreclosures, loan modification news and "For Sale" signs remain on lawns longer than before.
Or do they?
If you 'mouse over' the "Statistics" button above, a drop down menu of town reports will appear and reveal average days on the market, average list price and the average price of what homes sold for. This is a snapshot of what is happening and I think you'll agree that these towns are in much better shape than the news media would have you believe.
We analyze the market in a variety of ways and if you have a specific request for data in the counties of Essex, Morris, Somerset or Union, or would like to suggest a more useful report, please click on the "send an e-mail" link to the right of this message and let us know. We'll get right back to you.
For site visitors who live in 1 or 2 bedroom homes, you will note that these don't appear on our reports. This essentially eliminates townhouses and condominium residents. We found that including 1 and 2 bedroom homes skews the averages just enough that the larger homes don't get a true picture of the market. But, no worries. We would be happy to create a specific market analysis for residents of 1 or 2 bedroom homes. Just click on the "send an e-mail" link to the right and tell us what data you would like to see.
